SUMMARY:PRS22 Precision Rimfire Spring League
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to the Birchwood Rimfire Precision Rifle League! This is a multi-stage 22LR match series shooting steel targets at distances up to 200 yards (100 yds for the winter season). \nSpring Season Dates are: February 26th\, March 12th & March 26th\, April 9th & 23rd\, May 7th & 21st \nThe league fee is $140. After the 2nd week\, non-league shooters are welcome for $25 per match for BRSP members\, $35/match for non members. \nThis fun\, action packed match has multiple targets on each stage\, at varying distances of 15 to 200 yards. Seasoned PRS competitors often use additional equipment such as bags\, wind meters\, bipods\, and other gear If you don’t have any of those things\, please do not be intimidated. Our competitors are very friendly and are often more than willing to share gear. This is a great opportunity to try gear to find out what you may want to purchase. \nPlease review the Precision Rifle Series Rimfire Rulebook https://prs-website-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/public/prs_rules_rimfire.pdf to find which division you qualify for (Production or Open) and if you qualify as a Senior\, Junior\, Lady\, or Military/LE. League shooters will be required to register with PRS22. If you are registered with the PRS22\, then your scores will be submitted there as well. https://www.precisionrifleseries.com/memberships. You can select rimfire only\, or one of the combinations if you have centerfire aspirations.  \nPRS22 utilizes an online system called Practiscore for registration\, live match scoring\, and published results. Match booklets will be published typically about a week in advance. The match director reserves the right to make adjustments to the match\, but any updates to target selection and distance will be announced during the safety brief. \nIn addition to mandatory signup for the full league here https://brspclub.clubautomation.com/calendar/programs or a single match entry here: https://brspclub.clubautomation.com/calendar/classes?tab=by-class\, you will need to register on Practiscore here: https://practiscore.com/arc-prs22-league-at-brsp-summer-2025/register. \nRegister for a Practiscore account if you don’t already have one. Please enter your PRS# on the Practiscore registration\, not your BRSP member number. We are planning on having you register just once in Practiscore\, and importing your information into each match. If you have any trouble signing up for the league or single match through BRSP club automation\, call the clubhouse at 907-688-2809. \nBolt action rifles with scopes equipped with adjustable turrets are strongly recommended\, but not required. Each match has multiple distances\, so without adjustable scopes\, you will have to “hold over” small targets. For this type of shooting\, a First Focal Plane (FFP) scope is ideal. \nBRSP Members and non-members are welcome. Everyone must be checked in at the main clubhouse prior to 6pm\, and assembled at D Range by 6:15pm. The mandatory safety brief will be held at 6:15pm sharp. Help setting up earlier and staying to tear down is very much appreciated.  \nRecommend you “dope” your rifle prior to the first match (recording your elevation adjustments at various yardages). However\, prior to the first match we will have a short period to do so. Recommend you bring at least 150 rounds per match. Only 22LR permitted (no .17HMR/WSM/22Mag/etc). \nWe will have end of season awards. \nFor other questions not answered above\, contact Craig at PRS22@akrifleclub.com

SUMMARY:22LR Long Gong 300yd Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Long Gong is a 22LR rifle event shot 300 yards at a set of three gongs. Gong sizes are 8″\, 6″\, and 4″. Each size gong has a different point value\, 1-3. Zero points for each miss. All shooting is done from a bench using bi-pods and/or bags for support. No one-piece rests will be allowed. Each round the shooter has 3 minutes to shoot 10 rounds starting on the 8″ gong. This time limit starts at the first shot. The only way to move to the 6″ is to achieve a hit on the 8″. Once the 8″ is hit\, the shooter earns one point and may remain on the 8″ or attempt the 6″. If the shooter decides to attempt to shoot at the 6″ and hits\, the shooter earns two points and may move to the 4″. If the shot is a miss\, a zero for that shot is recorded on the scorecard and the shooter must move back to the 8″. Long Gong is not an NRA or CMP event and is shot only for bragging rights. Please look for upcoming information as we get closer to starting this exciting\, challenging event. If you have questions\, please contact David at david.ewings@brspclub.com. Here is an example Long Gong Course of Fire. \nSignup now at ARC Long Gong

SUMMARY:D-Day Commemorative Infantry Team Match
DESCRIPTION:Join us to commemorate D Day in World War 2 in this action packed\, fast paced Rattle Battle Infantry Team rifle match. It combines speed and rapid fire precision to score maximum points.\nThe match involves teams of four shooters\, with optional coach and captain\, engaging six targets at three distances: 300\, 200\, 100 yard lines using the prone\, sitting and kneeling positions\, respectively. After each yard line is scored\, teams advance in unison to the next yard line\, carrying with them only their rifle and ammunition. Targets used will be E-type EIC Combat silhouette targets scored electronically on Shotmarker target systems. Ammo MUST be over 1200fps velocity at 300yds to score. Each team will need 256 rounds of ammunition to shoot the entire match\, so 64 rounds per shooter. Each shooter should be issued ammunition in relation to his or her ability to achieve hits. You must have a minimum of 3 hits on a target to score any points and any targets fired by WW2 era rifles get a bonus of double point value for that target. \nOnline registration is required using this link: ARC D Day Infantry Team Rattle Battle. Ideally\, determine your 4 person team ahead of time\, but if you don’t have a team\, signup anyway and we’ll pair you up on match day. If you form a team in advance\, email your team member names to President@akrifleclub.com. This helps us plan the team firing order and number of teams to support. \nCost $20 for BRSP members\, $30 for non BRSP members. \nOne integral aspect of this match is swing shooting. Because a team of four firing members must engage six targets\, typically the shooters on each end of the firing squad swing or shoot on two targets. Normally\, right handed shooters swing from right to left while lefties swing from left to right. Watch this video of the full distance event fired a Camp Perry Camp Perry Infantry Team Match \nFor more detailed information refer to the Match Program: D Day Infantry Team Match Program June 8 2025
