Matches on military ranges (JBER) are not 100% confirmed until events are created on this page, even then they can be rescheduled or cancelled on short notice if military units need the range. BRSP Match signup is done through their club automation system. Signup for most other events is done through PayPal tickets or RSVP in event details on this page, usually active at least 2 weeks before match start and closes the day before match. $35 for BRSP members, $45 for non-BRSP members. Show time 10:30, start time 11:00. Round count will be approximately 35-40 rifle plus 35-40 pistol. Recommend minimum 50 of each to allow for making up missed shots.
This is a 3-stage vintage 2-gun fun match. It’s based on scenarios which may be encountered during a Field Training Exercise (FTX). For the purpose of this match, the Cold War Period is defined as 1947 (release of the Truman Doctrine) through 1989 (the fall of the Berlin Wall).
To satisfy period correct requirements for bonus scoring, firearms and uniforms must be those regularly used or worn by military personnel of any nation during this time period. This includes faithful replicas of the same. Firearms that don’t fall into this period may still be shot in Open Division. Those choosing to shoot wearing a complete uniform (tops and bottoms_ from this period will also be given a bonus on their score. A designated Match Official will be the arbitrator of correctness.
Suppressors will be permitted on rifles and pistols for this match. No rifle slings may be used during the course of fire. Slings may remain on the rifle if they do not interfere with safe gun handling, Holsters may be worn, but there is no drawing or reholstering on the clock during a stage. No magnum calibers, no bottleneck pistol calibers (including 7.62x25mm Tokarev). No AP, penetrator, tracer, or incendiary ammo, Bi-metal jacket ammo, including 7.62x39mm, is allowed.
